Job Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be a primary driver of revenue growth and a strategic partner to the region's entrepreneurs. This role is about more than just sales; it is about identifying promising businesses and guiding them through a sophisticated funding journey. You will act as a consultant to founders, helping them navigate the financing process using a platform that prioritizes speed, flexibility, and founder-centric values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full-Cycle Sales & Revenue Growth
Pipeline Ownership: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from strategic lead identification and qualification to final deal closure and onboarding.
Multichannel Outreach: Execute high-impact outbound strategies across multiple channels, including cold outreach, email sequences, industry events, and networking.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, ensuring a healthy and predictable revenue stream.
2. Credit Collaboration & Risk Alignment
Underwriting Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the Credit and Underwriting teams to pre-screen businesses and ensure they meet the specific criteria for Sharia-compliant lending.
Pre-Qualification: Conduct initial due diligence to verify business viability, ensuring a high-quality pipeline that aligns with the firm's risk appetite.
3. Market Intelligence & Product Evolution
Strategic Research: Identify new market segments, emerging industries, and regional trends to unlock fresh growth opportunities.
Feedback Loop: Act as the "voice of the customer," relaying market insights and client feedback to the Product team to help refine the fintech platform.
Process Innovation: Contribute creative ideas to optimize the sales funnel and improve conversion metrics.
4. Reporting & Analytics
Performance Tracking: Utilize CRM tools (HubSpot) to track, analyze, and report on outreach performance and pipeline health.
Data-Driven Sales: Use conversion metrics to pivot strategies and focus efforts on high-yield industries and segments.
Skills & Experience
Industry Experience (Mandatory): Proven experience as a Relationship Manager specifically within SME Lending.
B2B Expertise: 7+ years of experience in B2B sales or high-level business development.
Market Track Record: A demonstrable history of engaging and converting SMEs within the UAE market.
Credit Acumen: Strong ability to understand financial health and collaborate with credit teams to ensure funding qualification.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with modern CRM tools (HubSpot experience is a significant advantage) and a quick grasp of fintech concepts.
Personal Attributes
High Ownership: A self-starter who manages tasks end-to-end with minimal supervision and high accountability.
Consultative Seller: Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills; able to speak the language of founders and CEOs.
